The Edinburg North Cougars came in with a spotless District 31-5A record while the Edinburg Bobcats were still looking for a victory in the season. records did not matter at all. the Edinburg Bobcats showed up with a dominating defense that kept the Edinburg North Cougars scoreless for three quarters. however, the Edinburg Bobcats could not capitalize on offense and in the last offensive possession, the Edinburg North Cougars finally scored to take the lead and beat the Bobcats 8-3.
