Football - McHi at McAllen Memorial

 

The City of Palms Championship was on the line on Friday night at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium. The McHi Bulldogs played the role of visitor, and the McAllen Memorial Mustangs were the underdog home team coming in with a two game loosing streak. The stage was set and the Mustangs came out firing fast by scoring on their first offensive play. The Bulldogs tried to answer, but turnovers stopped the Bulldogs offense again. The McAllen Memorial Mustangs never looked back and beat the McHi Bulldogs 42-14 to stay alive in the playoff hunt and take the city champinship.
