Volleyball - Brownsville Rivera vs. McHi

Electric playoff atmosphere at the McHi Gym. The Brownsville Rivera Lady Raiders and the McHi Lady Bulldogs challenged each other in the Regional Quarterfinals. The Lady Raiders took the first game 25-23. After a close opening game, the Lady Bulldogs answered back and took the second game 23-25. Eventually, the Brownsville Rivera Lady Raiders prevailed and took the following two games 25-10 and 25-18 to move on and play in the Regional Semifinals. Congratulation to the McHi Lady Bulldogs on a great season, and good luck to the Rivera Lady Raiders.

Volleyball - Edinburg @ Nikki Rowe

An intense playoff atmosphere was all over the Nikki Rowe HS gym for the match between the Edinburg Lady Bobcats and the Nikki Rowe Lady Warriors. The Lady Warriors took the first game, but the Lady Bobcats answered right back. Eventually, the Nikki Rowe Lady Warriors took the last two games and move on to the next round by defeating the Edinburg Lady Bobcats 3-1.

Volleyball - McHi at McAllen Memorial

It took 5 games for the McHi Lady Bulldogs and the McAllen Memorial Lady Mustangs to settle the second round of this City of Palms Rivalry. The Lady Mustangs took the first game, but the Lady Bulldogs even things out. In the fifth game the Lady Mustangs prevailed after a Lady Bulldogs rally that fell short.

Volleyball - PSJA North at McHi

The PSJA North Lady Raiders visited the McHi Lady Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon. Although the Lady Raiders initially kept pace with the Lady Bulldogs, eventually the better game of the McHi Lady Bulldogs took over and defeated the PSJA North Lady Raiders in three straight games.

Volleyball - McHi at Nikki Rowe

A City of Palms rivalry is always good to cover! Surprisingly, the game did not live up to the hype. The Nikki Rowe Lady Warriors beat the McHi Lady Bulldogs in three straight games.

Volleyball - Weslaco East at Nikki Rowe

The Nikki Rowe Lady Warriors hosted the Weslaco East Lady Wildcats Saturday afternoon. Constant mistakes kept the Lady Wildcats from putting a good game against one of the top-ranked teams in the valley. In the end, the Nikki Rowe Lady Warriors took the victory in three straight games.

Volleyball - Weslaco East at McAllen Memorial

We would like to welcome the Weslaco East Lady Wildcats to our RGV Sports Photo home. This is the first time we cover this school, and we are excited about it. The Lady Wildcats paid a visit to the McAllen Memorial Lady Mustangs on Saturday afternoon. The outcome of the game was not positive for the Lady Wildcats since the Lady Mustangs swept the varsity game 3-0.

In the earlier game, the JV Lady Mustangs defeated the JV Lady Wildcats in three games.

Volleyball - San Benito at McHi

We finally got to cover a volleyball game from District 31-5A. The McHi Lady Bulldogs hosted San Benito Tuesday night at the McHi Gym. After a close finish in the first game, the Lady Bulldogs kept control of the match and defeated San Benito in three games.

We also got to cover the Junior Varsity game earlier in the evening. Check out some of the JV Lady Bulldogs photos as well.

Veterans Memorial vs Mission Volleyball

The Lady Patriots of Veterans Memorial are for real. They visited intra-city rival Mission Tuesday night and took home the win, beating a good Lady Eagle team in three straight. That should help them keep their #1 ranking in Texas 4A!

Sharyland Playoff Volleyball

The Lady Rattlers kept up their dominance of Valley volleyball as they took a 26-24, 25-16, 25-20 win over Brownsville Hanna in a Regional Quarterfinal match Tuesday night.  Of course, we have lots of photos in the Sharyland section.
