Soccer - McAllen Memorial @ McHi

It was a City of Palms Showdown. The old rivalry between the McHi Lady Bulldogs and the McAllen Memorial Lady Mustangs took place at McAllen Veterans Memorial Stadium on Friday night. To make things better, the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Mustangs came into the match as two of the top teams in the Valley. They did not disappoint. The Memorial Lady Mustangs scored early in the first half and dominated the game, but the Lady Bulldogs kept fighting and tied the game in the second half. Just when things looked like they were heading to a shootout, an outstanding goal by the Lady Bulldogs broke the game open. In the end, the McHi Lady Bulldogs defeated the McAllen Memorial Lady Mustangs 3-1.

Sharyland v Economedes Baseball

It certainly was not baseball weather - cold and windy - and the Jaguars may have wished the game could have been postponed due to the cold.  The Sharyland Rattlers made a visit Tuesday night and crushed Economedes 12-0 in five innings.  Here, Rodi Torres drives a liner up the third base line.
